Here's an interesting tid-bit for Xbox 360 owners: rumor has it that Microsoft is currently looking into implementing motion-sensor technology in a new controller either for the Xbox 360 or the next console in Microsoft's hardware family. The word is that Microsoft is working with Gyration, the same company behind the Wii's motion-sensor technology, in designing this new Xbox controller.Of course Microsoft remains silent on the issue, although fans are left to wonder when - or even if - Microsoft will join the motion-sensor bandwagon as both Sony and Nintendo have already implemented the technology into their controllers, though admittedly the PlayStation 3's sixaxis feature is rarely used (or even if it is used it's a bit hit or miss).
I've always found the feature to be a tad gimmicky and much prefer my precision controls provided by buttons that you actually push to do the job, but if Microsoft can do it better then they've got my attention.
Quick show of posts: how many of you think this motion-sensor business is the future of gaming?
