E3 2008: Miyamoto Confirms Pikmin 3Posted 10:36pm Wed Jul 16, 2008 by Zach Lott Tags: E3, E3 2008, Pikmin 3, Wii, Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo

"We're making Pikmin."

That's what Shigeru Miyamoto told those who attended Nintendo's developer roundtable tonight. The announcement came during a Q&A time only when veteran journalist Chris Remo pressured Miyamoto into slipping the news with a question about core gamers and whether or not games like Pikmin are coming.

This news comes after Miyamoto hinted to IGN that the Pikmin team could be making something, and it now looks like that certainly is the case. We may not know anything specific for a while, but it should be exciting to see if Nintendo divulges any details in the coming months.

E3 2008: Miyamoto Hints At Possible Pikmin, Mario GamesPosted 10:47pm Tue Jul 15, 2008 by Zach Lott Tags: E3, E3 2008, Nintendo, Shigeru Miyamoto, Interview, Rumor

Gamers' reactions to Nintendo's press conference haven't been pretty, as many have expressed disappointment on message boards about the lack of announcements for the core titles that Nintendo is known for.

However, IGN may have the answers that gamers have been searching for, as their interview with Nintendo's design genius Shigeru Miyamoto has yielded a ray of hope for the future.

When asked about the possibility of Pikmin 3, Miyamoto said that there wasn't anything that could be announced now, but that Nintendo would "probably do something with it" and that the Pikmin team would perhaps "have something to talk about before too long."

Calling all Zelda Maniacs - own a piece of MiyamotoPosted 12:27pm Mon Jan 14, 2008 by Shiva Stella Tags: ebay, Shigeru Miyamoto, people, Legend of Zelda

Destructoid has spotted the ongoing eBay auction of a Limited Edition Zelda GameBoy Advance SP - signed by the Zelda master himself, Shigeru Miyamoto, at the grand opening of the Nintendo World Store in New York City.

Here's what the winner gets:

  • New Gameboy Advance SP Zelda Limited Edition in gold signed by Shigeru Miyamoto
  • New The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap cart
  • Booklets and manuals
  • Slightly crushed display box
  • The new feeling of receiving something shipped from Canada

At current the item is listed at $500 with zero bids on a gaming device that Miyamoto actually touched, but if you're a Miyamoto/Zelda freak you'll get a joyful giggle from just glancing at the listing.

I love the way Miyamoto signs his name. /dreamy sigh
